Francis Ford Coppola’s classic 1979 film Apocalypse Now was based on novelist Joseph Conrad’s 1899 book, entitled “The Heart of Darkness”. This replica 3rd pattern U.S. Navy Utility shirt is modified with short sleeves and embroidered with the unit patch of the Navy River Division 593, produced in the Japanese embroidery style of the 1960s, with nametapes and patrol boat embroidery.
